2014 Walking Club
“Walking in the Way”
Cost: $5.00 ~ Open to 6th graders and older!
Come in and walk as often as you would like.
Record your mileage on your card each time you walk.
The more miles you walk the greater the reward
you will receive at the end of the year.
15 laps = 1 mile
WHAT IS IT?
The Family Life Center (FLC) Staff invites you to join our Walking Club.
The cost is $5.00 per person, and it covers the entire year!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The Walking Club is for those who are in the sixth grade or older who want to walk on our track,
or use the treadmills/total body trainer(not exercise bike) in the weight room. 15 laps around the track = 1 mile.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Come in and walk as often as you want. Record your mileage on your Club card.
It will be easy to track becaus you'll be tallying your total as you go along.
The Club cards are kept in an index box on the courtesy counter.
Fifteen laps around the track is a mile. Don't forget to check out the weekly memory verse!
WHEN CAN I WALK?
The normal FLC hours are 7am to 9pm on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday. On Wednesdays, it's 7am to 3pm, Fridays, it's 7am to 9pm, and Saturday's schedule is 8 am to 11am. Please be aware that hours may vary due to other church or FLC scheduled events.
WHY DO IT?
It's a healthy way to exercise. Walkers have less occurrences of cancer, heart disease,
stroke, diabetes and other killer diseases. They live longer and get mental health and spiritual benefits.
You can view the scenery from above (sunrises, sunsets), memorize scripture, pray, read, sing,
and so much more. It's fun! It's easy! It's relaxing!
